Rainy Day Business

Lately, its been rainy and yucky here. I'm not complaining, April showers bring May flowers!
But after the laundry is done, house is clean, and the garden cannot be tended, I find myself twiddling my thumbs.

When I moved back to NC about 2 months ago, I got soooooo busy that I had no time for sewing. I had gotten out of my groove so far that I had no desire to get back to it right away. But the other day, the sewing bug bit me again.

When Im in the garden, I'm constantly trying to track down my tools, so I wanted a way to keep them all right at my finger tips. Enter: the gardening apron...

That "sewing bite" didnt hurt at all! Actually, it felt pretty good to be making things again!
So I made some more!

I have a couple more that I havent had a chance to photograph yet. I realize that I desperately need a dress form to make the photos look good. So today, after my chores are done, I'm going to Hobby Lobby to see if they have something I can use.
Today is, after all, a rainy day business day!

What do you all do to get through those rainy days??

So incredibly beautiful! I love to sew but I am horrible at it. My stitches look like a drunk doing the line test and then I end up almost stitching my fingers to the fabric. lol

Lol!!!! Practice Practice Practice!
I taught myself on a Singer my mom bought before I even cared to sew. But Ive sewn many many bags and aprons and each one looks better than the last!
